The Seattle Eastside sits on the shores of Lake Washington. Nice homes, schools, and business districts are bringing new people each year.
Just
what is it that draws so many people to the Seattle Eastside?

Kirkland Beaches
Juanita Beach, Waverly Beach, and Houghton Beach are three nice beaches along Lake Washington that draw people every summer and give the locals plenty of variety, when it comes to spending time on the lake. Beach picnics, beach sports, and swims in the lake really bring Kirkland alive and help people get the most out of their local community.
Bellevue Beaches
Chism Beach Park, Medina Beach Park, Idylwood, and Enatai are common beaches to visit in Bellevue for spending time on Lake Washington or another large, popular lake, Lake Sammamish. From boating to just spending time under the trees bar-b-cuing on the green grass, both of these lakes are must visits on any sunny day of the year, even the fall or winter months. Keep in mind that Seattle's mild winters mean very little snow each year and so on sunny winter days, you can go down to the park with your dog or just on a bike and go for a ride on one of the area's many trails.
Seattle Eastside Schools
As the Seattle Times has reported in the recent past, five Seattle Eastside high schools have made it repeatedly into Newsweek's Top 1500 public high schools in the country for academics. With so many good high schools to choose from, this makes the Seattle Eastside a great place to raise children.
Seattle Eastside Jobs
Ever heard of Microsoft? How about Boeing? The tech sector is huge on the Seattle Eastside, providing jobs in Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, Woodinville, and Redmond in many aspects of tech. Then there's Boeing and the aerospace industry just a short commute (that's in miles, not time in traffic) to the south on I-405 to the nearest Boeing plant, located in Kent.
Seattle Eastside Churches
Faith is big on the Seattle Eastside, though of course not everyone goes to church or has spiritual beliefs. Access to churches is a factor that drives many people to choose one area vs another area for moving, and so know that you will not have your shortage of churches to choose from on the Seattle Eastside. Eastlake Community Church and Eastside Christian Church are just some of many you'll find.
Seattle Eastside Recreation
With Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish both just a short drive to the West or East, and the Cascade Mountains looming to the east of both lakes, there is an endless amount of recreational opportunities for those who love the outdoors. Snoqualmie Pass is a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders, and there's snowmobiling in the area around Cle Elum and beyond. You'll find camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing all just a 30 minute to 90 minute drive from anywhere on the Seattle Eastside, depending on what you're looking for.
