Seattle downtown high rise moving. There are many new buildings being built in the South Lake Union area. Traffic, construction, and people are at an all time high right now. Here are some tips for a fast smooth transition.
Communicate the Details
Every building downtown has a different set of rules, check with the relocation concierge as to what those rules are, and communicate them to us through email. Many times the building requires proof of insurance from the mover before stepping foot onto the property, we can provide this info prior to the move so there is no delay on moving day. There will also be a certain designated place to park the moving truck. The concierge will explain those details to you along with a scheduled time to use the elevator. Please have the building lock out the elevator during the time slot for us on Moving day. The building also has elevator pads and flooring for damage protection. It is the building's responsibility to install these prior to the moving crew showing up. Sharing the elevator with several people during the move can slow things down tremendously. Talk with your estimator about how long the move might take so you can coordinate the load and unload elevator time slots.
Parking Permits
Parking Permits are easily obtained by the customer/shipper. Please visit the city of Seattle's permit site at
Temporary No Parking Zones and secure a permit for moving day. The only reason we don't do it for you is, schedules change, moving times and days change, and you know your schedule better than anyone.
