Free written estimate.
Every licensed mover must provide a free written estimate before any work begins.
Why we don't publish hourly rates — and what protects you under WA Tariff 15-C.
Every moving company that operates in Washington State is licensed under the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) and must follow Tariff 15-C — the state's official rate schedule for movers.
Tariff 15-C sets a minimum and maximum rate range that movers can charge for hourly local moves, weight-based long-distance moves, packing, and storage. Within that range, each mover sets their own rates based on crew size, equipment, expertise, and overhead.
This is why two licensed Washington movers can quote you different prices for the same move — and why both are legitimate.
Every licensed mover must provide a free written estimate before any work begins.
Your final bill cannot exceed 110% of the written estimate without your written approval. No exceptions.
Every licensed Washington mover must carry cargo insurance. You can verify our license at the UTC website.
We could publish "$X per hour for 3 movers" and it would tell you almost nothing about your actual move cost. Your final price depends on crew size (1 mover vs 4), how packed your home is, distance between locations, parking access at both ends, stairs and elevators, whether you have specialty items, and whether you're transporting a vehicle.
Two homes of the same size can have a 3x cost difference based on these factors. Publishing a single hourly rate would either lock us into a price that doesn't fit your move — or overcharge you for a simpler one.
Instead, we ask a few questions, give you a real written quote in under an hour, and stand by it under WA law.
