Local Moving Process
Local moving in Seattle can be a very exciting change. It can also be overwhelming, and stressful. The biggest defense you have for a successful move is Time. The sooner you know your moving dates, call us right away to get on our schedule before we are booked that day. If you are packing your own boxes, try to have everything in a box and taped up prior to the movers showing up, a loosely packed move can take longer, create risks to smaller items, such as lamps, pictures, and mirrors.If we are packing your boxes as part of our 5-Star Service, then grab all the items you do not want packed and put them in a specific place, and our packers will avoid that area. If you are unsure about an item, please feel free to call, text, or email us for clarification. Our crews will respect your homes, carpets, walls, and hardwood floors during the moving process by placing a couple of moving pads at the front door to catch any moisture, dirt, or debris.
If you would like to cover more area than the entry way, we would urge you to purchase some carpet mask prior to the move and place it on the high traffic areas. Most of the time this is not needed, but if you are particular about your floors, this would be a good idea. We are very aware of walls, railings, elevators, and overhead items during the moving process as well, keeping homes, offices, and buildings as safe as possible.
